Indie Expo

The Brooklyn Arts Center hosted Indie Expo on Saturday, June 2, 2012, to present and celebrate Wilmington’s outstanding community of designers, artists, musicians, and fashion vendors. Thirty-plus vendors filled the church with talent and beautiful designs, while seven local musicians performed in the courtyard throughout the day. This BAC event, presented by Edge of Urge and DREAMS, was a fun-filled way for the community to support both our local vendors and DREAMS of Wilmington, a nonprofit arts education organization.
"We wanted to bring together the best in local, independent art, music, fashion and design, and celebrate our community within the beauty and history of the Brooklyn Arts Center." - Heather Thomson, Encore Magazine
Hundreds of people attended and joined in on the fun for a relaxed day of shopping. Food was served by Wilmington food trucks, The Cheesy Banker and Port City Sliders, with refreshing liquid refreshments provided by the BAC cash bar.
"Many of the contributing artists express how fortunate they feel to be in Wilmington where there is such an appreciation and support for independent designers of all ages and origins." - Encore Magazine
